Children/Teen Classes
Imaginations soar at The Center for Contemporary Art’s studio art program for children, introducing petite Picassos as young as 4 years old to art creation and appreciation within a fun and welcoming environment. Age appropriate classes explore basic to advanced visual art principles, art historical periods and styles, and the work of famous artists. Hands-on projects encourage self-expression and creative thinking while children discover a variety of media including tempera and acrylic paint, pastel, watercolor, clay, colored pencil, charcoal, paper maché and others. Children need only bring a smock and a smile as all supplies are included in the cost of all children’s art classes.
Not sure which course is best suited for your child? Call the office at (908) 234-2345 and The Center’s staff will be pleased to assist you.
