About the Instructor

Wendy Hallstrom

Wendy is an instructor at Hunterdon Art Museum and the Center for Contemporary Art in western New Jersey, where she teaches both adults and children in various media. Wendy's primary mediums are watercolor and acrylics. She writes icons in egg tempera in the Russian tradition and contemporary icons in acrylic. Her work has been displayed in juried shows and is in several private collections.
In addition to painting, Wendy has mastered the craft of Pysanky, Ukrainian egg decorating, and teaches this ancient technique throughout the Western NJ and Philadelphia region.
