Virtual Classes
What is a virtual class?
Using ZOOM, students will meet via video conference. Students can see and interact with the teacher and other students, receive personal feedback and instruction from the teacher, participate in live demonstrations, and share their work and ideas.
What will I need to participate?
The only thing required to participate is a desktop computer with a camera, tablet with a camera, or smart phone with a camera. ZOOM works with all operating systems.
Where do I login for my class?
Students will receive an email with a link to their virtual class. During your regularly scheduled class time, click on the link, and you will be connected to the class. The first time you use ZOOM you will receive instructions to load the application on your device. This takes only a moment before you can join the first class.
Where can I learn how to use ZOOM?
ZOOM is very user friendly and is used by many arts organizations, small businesses, and universities for their classes. Watch the videos below to help provide you with an overview. Teachers will also provide a basic overview when you attend class.
Will my class be same day and time each week like at The Center?
Yes. Please check the class description for the specific dates and times your virtual class will meet.
Will my virtual class be different than when I am at The Center?
The virtual format provides an intimate setting allowing students to interact with each other and the teacher. Some teachers will be adjusting their curriculum. Please check the class description for more information about your specific class by clicking on the title of your class on The Center’s website.
Where do I find the materials list for my class?
Materials lists can be found beneath the class description. Please click on the title of your class on The Center’s website.
