Stone Bridges in Watercolor

The counties surrounding Bedminster feature iconic stone bridges crossing streams that run into the Raritan and the Musconetcong. Do you have a favorite bridge? Learn to paint stone and mortar and surrounding landscape. Techniques include using semi-opaque and granulating colors, wet in wet, negative painting, spattering, and painting trees and foliage. Reference will be provided but you are welcome to paint from your own photos.
Novice to Advanced.

About the Instructor
Doris Ettlinger: A graduate of RISD and the University of Wisconsin – Madison; teacher/coach of the Musconetcong Watercolor Group in Hampton NJ. She has illustrated 40 picture books for children. Her books feature a sensitive drawing style and skillful watercolor technique. Doris’s work has been included in the 2024 International Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society.
