ABOUT THE JUROR:
Lifetime Somerset Hills resident Jessica Melillo not only strives to develop her children’s appreciation for the arts, but to also extend community access to the works of local artists.
In 2021 Melillo launched Somerset Hills Art Collective (SHAC), showcasing local artists exhibiting their love for the area through their work. She carefully oversees all aspects of the organization, while collaborating with others to advance arts and culture throughout NJ’s Somerset Hills.
SHAC’s principal gallery is housed in the heart of Far Hills, NJ within the Far Hills Center. Melillo‘s long-term goal is to establish numerous SHAC galleries throughout the Somerset Hills.
Artists featured at SHAC galleries generously donate a portion of their proceeds to the Somerset Hills Land Preservation Trust, established to preserve open spaces and natural resources, and promote smart-growth ideals that foster land conservation.
Melillo sits on Peapack & Gladstone’s Open Space Advisory Board and Recreation Committee, and the Development Committee at FHCDS.
