Come spend an afternoon creating holiday cards to send to friends and family. We will create original card designs and discuss sources for printing high quality copies of your creations. Bring your favorite medium – watercolor, acrylics, gouache – and heavy paper.
Class Level: Adult and Teens 14+ (All Levels)
Materials
High quality, heavy (140 lb)paper – we will cut the paper to size
Optional – blank cards such as the Strathmore or Canson 140 lb stationary
Paints – in your favorite colors
Optional – metallic paints or markers for accents
Permanent ink pens for adding details
Wendy is an instructor at Hunterdon Art Museum and the Center for Contemporary Art in western New Jersey, where she teaches both adults and children in various media. Wendy’s primary mediums are watercolor and acrylics. She writes icons in egg tempera in the Russian tradition and contemporary icons in acrylic. Her work has been displayed in juried shows and is in several private collections. In addition to painting, Wendy has mastered the craft of Pysanky, Ukrainian egg decorating, and teaches this ancient technique throughout the Western NJ and Philadelphia region.
