Colored Pencil Workshop

In this workshop, students will learn to better master colored pencils with techniques for blending colors, creating hard or soft edges, and heightening value. This workshop will also go over proportion and perspective, how to make objects appear 3-dimensional, and how to better understand and utilize the colors we have. Think of the subjects you’d like to draw with colored pencils: a still life, a floral, a landscape, or a portrait. The possibilities are endless! Students are welcome to bring their own reference photos to class.

About the Instructor
Margaret Fanning: BFA in Painting, Savannah College of Art and Design. Has exhibited internationally and her art can be found in private collections throughout the U.S. She has won multiple awards including the Alexander Portfolio Award and the NJ Chapter of the American Artists Professional League Traditional Realism Award.
