Summer Art Camps

Summer Art Camps 2018

Weekly summer art camps for children and teens ages 5 – 15 are designed to stimulate creative expression through projects and activities that change each week.

What We Offer:

Morning Art Studio- 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM*
Students will engage in two-and three-dimensional creative exploration through painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and more.

Afternoon Art- 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM*
Young artists ages 5-8 will enjoy themed programs that change each week while 9-11 year olds and teens will explore a single medium in depth.

Afternoon Pottery- 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM*
The Center offers the area’s only week-long summer ceramics camps in a state-of-the-art studio. Students develop wheel-throwing, hand-building, and glazing skills.

* For a full day of camp, please register for a Morning Art Studio session and an Afternoon Art/Pottery session.

Art Camps for Kids with ASD and Other Special Needs:
Students will explore a variety of media as they experiment with drawing, painting and sculpture. Classes meet every Saturday in July and August for an hour and are broken out by age group. Please see below for the schedule. These camps are generously funded by a grant from Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

 What You Need to Know:

All sessions are led by professional teaching artists, tailored to a specific age group and designed to deepen a child’s appreciation and understanding of the visual arts.

No prior experience is required for any of our camps.

Behavior Policy: We want every child to be safe and have a great experience at The Center during their summer art camp. Children should be able to conduct themselves appropriately without being too distracting to the other students. The Center reserves the right to dismiss any student for inappropriate behavior. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 908-234-2345.

Projects and activities change each week so students can come back again and again without ever creating the same thing.

Full-day campers (those registered for a morning and afternoon camp) will have a supervised lunch period from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at no extra charge.
