448-The Art of Mosaics

Welcome to the world of mosaics, where not only is it okay to break things, it is expected! This 6- hour intensive workshop will introduce beginners to the basics of mosaic making: the astonishing variety of materials and adhesives, design and composition, the cutting and laying out of tile, and the grouting process. Supplies such as vitreous glass tile, ceramic tile, stained glass, and china are available for students to explore and incorporate in their work, and all the necessary tools, adhesives, and materials are provided. Students will complete an 8” x 6” Mosaic by the day’s end.

Special Notes

All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Policies and Procedures.
