316-Pen & Ink Techniques

Explore pen and ink in this one-day workshop to create bold and vibrant drawings. Delve into traditional and contemporary pen and ink applications as you learn and experiment with a variety of mark-making techniques. Students will create compositions that will bring objects to life on paper.

In the event of a closure due to the COVID-19 virus, this class will move online using ZOOM. There will be no refunds or credits for classes that were scheduled to take place on-site but were moved to an online format for health and safety purposes.

Materials

HB Pencil
Eraser
Bristol Pad (9" x 12" or 11" x 14") Vellum or Smooth
Pigment Liner Set (such as Staedtler or Micron)
Ruler
Drawing Board (this is optional, but recommended if you don't have a smooth surface to work on)
Reference picture (if you prefer to use your own)

About the Instructor

Margaret Fanning

BFA in Painting, Savannah College of Art and Design. Has exhibited internationally and her art can be found in private collections throughout the U.S. She has won multiple awards including the Alexander Portfolio Award and the NJ Chapter of the American Artists Professional League Traditional Realism Award.
