238-Torn Paper Collage

This one-day fun-filled workshop welcomes all levels. We will learn a bit about a famous artist and one of their artworks, then create our own version inspired by that work.

Special Notes

All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Policies and Procedures.

Materials

  • Magazines, rice and tissue papers and any other lightweight paper of your choosing that will be torn and adhered down to create something beautiful.
  • Acrylic Medium or Modge Podge
  • Soft painting brush, preferably a #8 filbert. 
We will have some papers for use but feel free to bring any of your own favorites along with either Acrylic Medium or Modge Podge and a soft painting brush, preferably a #8 filbert. 

About the Instructor

Danielle D'Amico

Danielle earned her BFA from School of Visual Arts in Manhattan with concentration in Illustration and worked as a freelance artist before becoming the fifth owner of Juxtapose Gallery in 2014. She is thrilled to share her passion for art history and art making with her students.  Danielle is an award-winning artist, exhibiting nationally, has been affiliated with several artists groups and organizations, and has many of her artworks in private collections.
