238-Intro to Writing

Looking to explore your creativity through words? This class is for you. We will talk about how to plan a story line in terms of plot, setting, characters and rich descriptions. Explore different genres and learn how to be a better writer and reader by giving and receiving supportive feedback.

All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Policies and Procedures.

Materials

Preferred writing instrument (e.g. pen, pencil)

Paper to write on.

About the Instructor

Jamie Fiore Higgins

Jamie Fiore Higgins is a writer, creative and executive coach, and former Wall Street executive. Her debut memoir, Bully Market, My Story of Money and Misogyny at Goldman Sachs was released by Simon and Schuster in 2022. Jamie believes there is a writer in all of us, and that everyone has a book inside of them. Through her teaching, she is committed to helping writers find their true authentic voice and become compelling storytellers. Jamie lives in New Jersey with her husband and four children. When she is not writing or working with clients, she loves to read and go on long walks.
