C211-Drawing in Depth

This program is designed for young artists with a love of drawing who want to deepen and develop their skills. Working from photographs or a different still life each week, or imaginary themes, students will learn about the elements of a good drawing and develop a firm foundation of form, composition, proportion, value, perspective and line quality. The class explores the basic principles of visual art, art historical periods and styles, and the work of well-known artists. The teacher will provide frequent demonstrations. Children are encouraged to repeat this class to continue to build drawing skills.

NOTE: There is no class on 5/27 for the Memorial Day holiday.
