C104-The Clay Lab (Ages 12-15)

From the wheel to the workbench, this is where clay becomes whatever you imagine. In The Clay Lab, you’ll explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding to create everything from functional pieces you can use every day to sculptural works that show off your style. New to clay? You’ll get step-by-step guidance to master the basics. Already have experience? We’ll help you refine your techniques, tackle complex forms, and experiment with bold ideas. You’ll learn glazing, surface design, and firing, with plenty of freedom to design and personalize your own projects.

Special Notes

To help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, we ask students to review and follow The Center's Policies and Procedures available on our website. Students who cannot comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave class, and refunds will not be issued in these cases.

Materials

All materials are included. Since working with clay can be messy, we suggest wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or bringing an apron to stay clean while you create.
