212-Drawing from Life

The Center offers weekly studio sessions for artists who are interested in drawing from a nude model (male or female). These sessions are without instruction, offering artists the opportunity to sketch independently.

Special Instructions: There will be a monitor in this class.

Walk-ins welcome! 

Class subject to run based on registration. Call in advance to confirm class is running.
Daily walk-in tuition: $25.00 (non-member) / $20.00 (member)

COVID-19 vaccinations are suggested but not required.
Mask wearing is suggested but not required. 


All students must comply with the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

In the event of a closure due to the COVID-19 virus, this class will move online using ZOOM. There will be no refunds or credits for classes that were scheduled to take place on-site but were moved to an online format for health and safety purposes.

About the Instructor

Lena Shiffman

A well published children's book illustrator; attended Spectrum Institute of Commercial Art in NJ; studied at The Parsons School of Design and the Art Students League NYC; member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and of the Rutgers University Children's Book Council.
