SUMMARY:Faces in Watercolor Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Learn to draw and paint a face in watercolor. Warm up with sketches of faces at different angles to help understand the three-dimensional structure and proportions of a generic face. Working from your own photos\, you’ll learn the process from sketch to final drawing on watercolor paper to painting. The instructor will discuss how you can use just a few pigments to achieve a range of skin tones. This will be a good opportunity to transform a monochrome portrait of an ancestor into a full color painting. \nTuition: Members $107/Non-Members $132 \nAbout the Instructor \nDoris Ettlinger: A graduate of RISD and the University of Wisconsin – Madison; teacher/coach of the Musconetcong Watercolor Group in Hampton NJ. She has illustrated 40 picture books for children. Her books feature a sensitive drawing style and skillful watercolor technique. SUMMARY:Art After Hours: Pottery Date Night - Valentine Edition
DESCRIPTION:Come on out and get dirty with a date night in the ceramics studio! Couples (and singles) are invited to come out for an intimate experience of throwing on the potters wheel. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the throwing process and give you options for decorating and glazing. We will glaze\, fire and package your creation for pickup. Light refreshments will be provided. Please wear or change into clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. \nNOTE: Adults only\, 21+. \nAll supplies will be provided. \nTuition: Members $69/Non-Members $94 \nAbout the Instructor \nJennifer Evans Arbo is a Fine Arts Ceramicist and Photographer residing in New Jersey. Originally from California\, she traveled the world\, living in England\, Spain and Uruguay before landing on the East Coast. She has a BA and Post graduate degree from London College of Fashion and minored in Ceramics. Jennifer specializes in wheel throwing a sgraffito surface technique in her ceramics and uses the human form to tell emotional stories in clay. Jennifer shares her love of art by helping to inspire the next generation of artists. She has been teaching fashion to young adults and currently teaches beginner ceramics to adults and teens at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster\, NJ. \n			\n				Click Here to Register
