While Tim’s professional background lies in accounting\, his heart beats for the vibrant world of creativity and artistic expression. \nAssuming the mantle of Executive Director in August 2020\, Tim embarked on a mission to steer duCret through the turbulent waters of COVID\, determined to safeguard its legacy and ensure its endurance for another 98 years. With a keen understanding of the importance of regional art centers like duCret\, Tim envisions a future where these institutions thrive as pillars of artistic innovation and community enrichment. \nIn pursuing this vision\, Tim advocates for collaboration among art centers\, believing they can forge a robust and supportive artists’ community by joining forces. They are dedicated to fostering an inclusive\, compassionate community where every person’s unique path is honored and celebrated. \nCiC’s programs include mutual support meetings representing multiple pathways of recovery\, holistic natural recovery programs\, harm reduction training and supplies\, recovery-friendly activities\, education\, and navigation to resources supporting home\, health\, purpose\, and community. DESCRIPTION:Opening: Friday\, September 27\, from 6-8pm \n\n\n\n		\n				\n						\n			\n								\n			\n		\n							\n			\n				\n						\n			\n								\n			\n		\n							\n			\n				\n						\n			\n								\n			\n		\n							\n			\n	\n	\n\n	\n		\n			\n  \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Barbara Wallace is a sculptor known for her figurative art works and innovative use of recycled materials. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Pratt Institute and Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania. Wallace is an Adjunct Professor at Passaic County Community College and Adjunct Distinguished Professor at Kean University. Recent group exhibits include Manifesting Beloved Community\, West Windsor Arts Council with Art Against Racism\, Drift Silverwood Park Gallery\, Saint Anthony\, MN; State of the Art 2024\, Studio Montclair\, Montclair\, NJ. In addition\, she recently received an Honorable Mention award at the Love is in the Air exhibit\, Belmar Arts Council\, Belmar\, NJ; and currently has her sculpture “Mermar” on display at the Artists’ Equity virtual members’ show\, titled Red White Blue. Her contributions to the art world extend beyond print\, as she has also been actively engaged in guest residencies and lectures across the nation. Her work is held in both public and private collections both nationally and internationally\, including the Newark Public Library\, Petrucci Family Foundation Collection of African American Art\, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Pilgrim’s participation in group exhibitions is noteworthy\, particularly her inclusion in Black Histories\, Black Futures at the Museum of Fine Arts\, Boston\, MA and Gadsden Museum of Art in Gadsden\, AL. Additionally\, she serves as a board member of Frontline Arts in Branchburg\, New Jersey\, and is a member of the Florida Printmakers Society. Her contributions to the artistic community have been recognized through numerous grants and awards\, including the Newark Artist Accelerator Grant in 2020 and the 2023 Creative Catalyst Grant from Newark Arts.
