SUMMARY:Wen Redmond: Musings\, Memory and Magic
DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception: April 17\, 2026 from 6-8pm \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n \n 1\n2\n►	\n \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWen Redmond has been a fiber artist since 1976. A former Home Economics teacher\, she has worked with batik and weaving which evolved into folk art quilts and a love of the modern art quilt movement. \nIn the late 90’s\, her work centered on abstract expressionism using dyed natural material and surface design\, creating gentle tonal contrasts and layers that interact with each other. Her method of direct cutting\, without the use of patterns\, was innovative at that time. Her work continues to evolve through experimentation. \nSince the early 2000s\, her work includes photography\, printed\, or transferred onto fabric\, paper or created and mixed media substrates. \nShe has created several innovative digital fiber techniques. Holographic Images presents multiple layered pieces of photographs printed on silk organza and borders of painted and surface designed fabrics. These pieces create a 3-D effect that moves as the viewer changes positions. \nWen continues to investigate the digital world\, but also imaginative presentations that add to the pioneering exploration of her media and give her work edge. \nShe splits her time from her home studio in New Hampshire and part time in North Carolina. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick here to read Wen Redmond’s Artist Statement. \n

SUMMARY:Spring Solo Exhibitions: Tracy DiTolla // Steven Epstein // Gregory Hennen
DESCRIPTION:A group exhibition showcasing the work of our three 2022 International Juried Exhibition Solo Exhibition Award winners.\nOpening: Friday\, April 21\, 2023 from 6-8 p.m.\n\nTracy DiTolla: Tragic Flaws\n\n2022 International Juried Exhibition Solo Exhibition Award \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n\nTracy DiTolla received her BA in art history from William Paterson University\, her MA in art history and her MFA in studio art from Montclair University. Her current work is primarily done in oil on canvas and her influences include Baroque and Surreal art as well as film noir. \nShe currently resides in northern New Jersey and chairs the art and graphic design departments at Warren County College. She exhibits her work throughout New Jersey. \nClick here to read Tracy DiTolla’s Artist Statement\nLearn more about Tracy DiTolla \n\nSteven Epstein: The Pedestrian Absurd\n2022 International Juried Exhibition Solo Exhibition Award \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n\nSteven Epstein grew up in the New York area and now lives in New Jersey. He considers himself a semi-educated artist in that he’s taken classes at places like the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan but doesn’t have any degrees in art. He does much of his learning through work. To him painting is often an adventure in a search for meaning\, a record of a discourse between what’s going on inside and outside of him. His work often has a gritty feel reflecting an interest in noir and jazz. There are expressionist influences and boundary crossing between the representational and abstract. There is often an exploration of underlying patterns suggested in compositions involving heightened impressions\, atmosphere and mood of the seeming commonplace. Current work can include the additional use of collage materials to his acrylic painting. Lately he has been more intuitive and experimental as a result of the introspection from the current circumstances of his retirement coinciding with the restrictions of the past few years. \nEpstein was selected for a solo show at the Monmouth Museum for their 2014 Emerging Artist Series. He’s been part of dual artist shows at the Hamilton Street Gallery in 2016 (Road Work) and 2019 (Midnight Mercury). While working as an x-ray technician he had paintings on 7 covers of the trade magazine “Radiologic Technology” after being a winner in their cover contest. \nClick here to read Steven Epstein’s Artist Statement\nLearn more about Steven Epstein \n\nGregory Hennen: Where I Wander\n2022 International Juried Exhibition Solo Exhibition Award \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n\nGregory Hennen is a landscape painter whose work is inspired by his extensive time spent in nature which included 15 years as the property manager for Manitou Point Nature Preserve in Garrison\, NY. While there he was responsible for designing and maintaining over 4 miles of trails along the Hudson River property. He makes graphite sketches that are often followed by small gouache paintings in preparation for more complex oil paintings created in the studio. \nHe earned his BFA from Eastern Connecticut State University\, Willimantic\, CT. His work has been shown nationally\, including group exhibitions at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art\, Huntsville Museum of Art\, University of Southern Mississippi and the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences. His painting Ridge View Wyatt Mountain was selected for the cover of the 15th edition of The Bedford Reader. His work is in the public collections of Pfizer Inc.\, Greenwich Public Library\, Greenwich\, CT and in numerous private collections. The artist has been represented by Kenise Barnes Fine Art\, Kent\, CT since 2002. He lives and works in Virginia. \nClick here to read Gregory Hennen’s Artist Statement\nLearn more about Gregory Hennen \n\nFor more information on our accessibility services and gallery access\, please call us or visit our accessibility webpage.

SUMMARY:Michael Wolf: Crossings
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition Dates: April 9\, 2021 – June 5\, 2021\nVirtual Opening Reception: Friday\, April 9\, 2021 at 6 p.m. via Zoom \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n\nMichael Wolf is a New York City area artist whose artwork encompasses sculpture\, installation\, and drawing. Architectural spaces and forms inspire Wolf’s artwork. Using these forms as a metaphor for the human experience\, his work explores the dichotomies of protection vs. vulnerability. Material integrity is an essential aspect of Wolf’s artwork. He chooses the materials for each work carefully so that it speaks to the essence of the piece. The artist uses wood\, stone\, metal\, and gold leaf while incorporating technologies such as 3D printing creating contemporary art with an ongoing dialogue with history.  \n \nWolf is represented by Monica King Projects. His exhibitions with Monica King Projects include Spring to Action\, Wish You Were Here\, participating in a designer showcase in the penthouse at 100 Franklin\, and exhibiting online in the Intersect Chicago/SOFA Fair. Wolf recently completed a residency at Mana Contemporary sponsored by the Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation\, where his focus was on drawing and works on paper. He received individual fellowship grants from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and the NJ State Council of the Arts and received the Power of Art Award\, personally presented to him by Robert Rauschenberg. Wolf’s architectural installation\, Sanctuary\, was the inspiration for an exhibition of the same name at the Orlando Museum of Art. Learn more about Michael Wolf\nClick Here for Michael Wolf Artist Statement and Bio
