The Center for Contemporary Art receives a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. \nMEDIA/PUBLIC RELATIONS: The Center for Contemporary Art reserves the right to use digital images of exhibited artwork for media\, website\, PR and advertising. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				ABOUT THE JUROR: Donna Gustafson is a free-lance curator\, critic\, and writer based in New Jersey.  Previously she served as Chief Curator at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University\, Director of Exhibitions at the Hunterdon Art Museum\, and Chief Curator at the American Federation of Arts in New York. She has a PhD in Art History. Her curatorial resume includes major projects with publications such as George Segal: Themes and Variations; Angela Davis: Seize the Time; Subjective Objective: A Century of Social Photography; Striking Resemblance: The Changing Art of Portraiture; Guerrilla (and other) Girls: Art/Activism/Attitude; at/around/beyond: Fluxus at Rutgers;  and Images of the World Between: The Circus in Twentieth- Century American Art. She has also organized one-person exhibitions with Alonzo Adams\, Diane Burko\, Lalla Essaydi\, Jesse Krimes\, Jim Toia\, Rachel Perry\, and group shows that featured the work of contemporary artists Yana Bystrova\, LaToya Frazier\, Coco Fusco\, Steffani Jemison\, Bonnie Lucas\, Sheila Pepe\, Juan Sanchéz\, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith\, Joan Snyder\, Bently Spang\, and Renée Stout\, among others. Her exhibitions and research have been funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation\, Andy Warhol Foundation\, Luce Foundation\, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Recently she was an invited critic-in-residence at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in New York.

Prior to that\, he was the founding Director of the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art. \nPrior to joining Leslie-Lohman\, Hunter was the Director of the Foundation for Massachusetts College of Art and Design.  Prior to that\, he led two renowned artists’ residencies programs\, having served as the President of Anderson Ranch Arts Center\, outside Aspen\, CO\, and Director of the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown\, MA\, the largest residency program for emerging artists and writers in the United States. \nHunter has a long career of non-profit board and community involvement. He is the past board chair of the Alliance of Artists Communities\, the national membership organization for artists’ residency programs. Prosia \nIn addition\, Lindsay Godin (Valdosta\, GA)\, Angela Pilgrim (Newark\, NJ) and Christine Sauerteig-Pilaar (Oak Ridge\, NJ) were awarded solo exhibitions at The Center for Contemporary Art \nABOUT THE JUROR:\n\nEsteban del Valle is a Brooklyn\, NY based interdisciplinary artist originally from Chicago\, IL.  He received his M.F.A. from RISD and has exhibited his work and produced murals internationally. His work has been featured in various publications\, including HiFructose and Washington Post. Del Valle has been the recipient of several visual arts residencies and fellowships including the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture\, the Fine Arts Work Center\, Smack Mellon Artist Studio Program\, and The Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship. In the Spring of 2020\, he was awarded The Daniel F. Breeden Eminent Scholar Chair at Auburn University. Del Valle also has original work in several permanent collections including the Urban Nation in Berlin\, Germany\, The Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick\, NJ\, and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum in Provincetown\, MA. Additionally\, in the summer of 2021\, he was awarded the inaugural commission for the Provincetown Public Art Foundation.

His work is heavily influenced by the anti-colonial politics of the Caribbean\, and by the intellectual powerhouses of that period.  He was Inaugural Co-Director of Express-Newark until recently and is a member of the Artist Advisory Council of Newark Arts.
