Members’ Non-Juried Exhibition

The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to invite
its members to enter the 2017 Members’ Non-Juried
Exhibition & Sale

Exhibition Dates: June 23 – September 7, 2017
Opening Reception: Friday, June 23 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Closing Reception: Thursday, September 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Judge: Jeanne Brasile

Jeanne Brasile is the Director of the Walsh Gallery at Seton Hall University.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Ramapo College of New Jersey with a concentration in art history and studio art, and a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies from Seton Hall University.  She currently teaches as an adjunct in the Museum Professions Graduate Program at Seton Hall University.   Jeanne is also an independent curator and frequent lecturer on such topics as public art, curatorial practice and institutional critique.  During her career of nearly 20 years, she has curated numerous shows throughout New York and New Jersey and worked at institutions such as Storm King Art Center, The South Street Seaport Museum and the Montclair State University Art Galleries.  

Entry Fee: $25

Requirements: Entry must be original artwork, wired, ready to hang and acceptably framed. Clip frames are not acceptable. Maximum framed size permitted is 30″ horizontally and vertically. No wet work will be accepted. Sculptors may provide their own pedestals or use The Center’s which measure 18″ x 18″ x 40″ high. Sculpture may not exceed 15 lbs. If you work requires special mounting for display please discuss with The Center prior to delivery. Work previously exhibited in exhibitions at The Center may not be submitted.

Eligibility: Membership must be valid through September 2017. Entrants are welcome to join and enter at the same time. Entrants must be 18 and older. Not a member? Join Now!

Awards: Sally Bush Memorial Award ($250); two Awards of Excellence ($100 each); and three Honorable Mentions

Sales: The Center will handle all sales and receive a 30% commission.

  1. You may fill out the Online Entry Form and pay your entry fee
    online by credit card via PayPal. 
    Deadline for Online Entries: Thursday, June 8, 2017 at midnight
  2. If you do not wish to complete the online entry form, entries will also be accepted during the artwork drop off dates at The Center.
    Artwork must be accompanied by a Members’ Non-Juried Exhibition & Sale 2017 Entry Form  and the $25 entry fee which must be paid in cash or check made payable to “The Center for Contemporary Art.”

Opening Reception: June 23 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Closing Reception: Thursday, September 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Artwork must be delivered to The Center for Contemporary Art

Artwork Drop Off Dates:
Wednesday, June 14 – Thursday, June 15  from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday, June 16 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturday, June 17 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Artwork Pickup Dates:
Thursday, September 7 at 8 p.m.
Friday, September 8 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturday, September 9 from 9 a.m. -12 p.m.
Other times by prior arrangement with The Center for Contemporary Art only!

Works will be insured from June 14 through September 9, 2017. After September 9, The Center for Contemporary Art cannot assume any liability for loss or damage no matter how caused. All work submitted and received is subject to this condition.
