Discover the beauty of Chinese brush painting in this hands-on class designed for all skill levels. With the instructor’s guidance, you will explore step-by-step techniques for freehand brushwork, learning how simple strokes can bring flowers, birds, fish, bamboo, and more to life. You will also practice unique texture and wash techniques essential to creating stunning Chinese landscapes. Returning students can dive into more complex brushwork to expand their skills.

Materials
The Center will provide some materials for the class: A felt mat for your work surface, rice paper, and Chinese watercolor paints. We have brush kits available for use during class, by request.Students should purchase their own black ink, and brushes, if not borrowing from The Center.
