421-Adventures in Clay

Students will explore all aspects of wheel throwing and hand-building while strengthening their abilities and expression in clay. Aspects of form, function, texture & glazing will also be covered.

The Center has a wheelchair accessible pottery wheel in our ceramics studio. If you would like more information, please call 908-234-2345.

All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Policies and Procedures.


Materials

Students require a basic pottery tool kit and clay. Students may purchase a set of tools from The Center or bring their own. Clay must be bought from The Center.

About the Instructor

Lori Pearson

BA in Psychology and Fine Arts, University of Denver. Owner and Director of E. Walden Studios, Professional potter and teacher with experience in stoneware, Raku, and porcelain clays. Trained in raku, pit, saggar, alternative, salt, wood and electric oxidation firings. Member of the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts, NCECA, Redhawk Native Arts Council, Japan Society of Boston, and The Center for Contemporary Art. Artworks in private, individual and corporate collections
