Landscape Painting is a foundational class for students to explore painting through landscape subject matter. Students will be introduced to the basics of landscape painting.

All students must comply with the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

In the event of a closure due to the COVID-19 virus, this class will move online using ZOOM. There will be no refunds or credits for classes that were scheduled to take place on-site but were moved to an online format for health and safety purposes.

I would like to save you as much money as possible on buying the material.

Please purchase the least expensive brands of the materials.

I have included places to buy them. To save money you can start at the dollar store and whatever you can’t find there get at the other places. Please look the materials up on line so you have an idea of what they look like when you shop for them.

Liquitex Basics is a good inexpensive brand, You don’t have to get that. Try to get the least expensive brand. If you can’t find the exact named color look online at the color and get whatever is similar to it. Especially at the dollar store.

About the Instructor

Smriti Sangal

Smriti is a multidisciplinary Visual Artist and an Art Educator with a teaching experience of over 10 years with kids and adults of all ages. She has a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Delhi University, India, and a Master's in Fine Arts from the University of Arts London. Post her Master’s she co-founded an art studio in New Delhi, India in 2015 called “Culture Chauraha” where she would conduct workshops and classes in a number of art mediums along with partnering with organizations and individuals to curate unique art experiences & commissions. She recently moved to the United States in 2023 and is excited at the opportunity to explore herself and her work in a new country.
