Spring into Creativity!

Beginner workshop series with Andrea Gianchiglia 

 

Ever wanted to try oil painting? Now is the time! This workshop will introduce you to the wonderful world of oil paints. With step-by-step guided lessons through the course of the day, students will understand how oil paints can be used focusing on various techniques, color theory, how to achieve various subject matters and textures, and proper clean up. Materials will be provided so students can try before they commit to a new medium. A perfect workshop for any level looking to dive into this new medium.

 


This is a HYBRID workshop. There will be students participating virtually concurrently with the students attending the in-person workshop. This is the IN-PERSON component of the workshop.

Special Notes

Note on Health & Safety Policy:

COVID-19 vaccinations are suggested but not required.
Mask wearing is suggested but not required. 


All students must comply with the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

In the event of a closure due to the COVID-19 virus, this class will move online using ZOOM. There will be no refunds or credits for classes that were scheduled to take place on-site but were moved to an online format for health and safety purposes.

About the Instructor

Andrea Gianchiglia

BFA, University of Hartford Art School, major in illustration, minor in art history. Exhibitions: Many solo, group and juried shows at various galleries and museums in the tri-state area. Awards: has won awards for her specialty, animal portraiture. Her work is in private collections throughtout the country and is available for commissions. A member of Society of Animal Artists, Salmagundi Club, and the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe art group. Visit www.agillustration.com
